Britny Fox / Britny Fox (1988)

Britny Fox was formed in 1985 in Philadelphia. The band was originally fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Dizzy" Dean Davidson. The band released a demo titled In America in 1986, which drummer Tony Destra reportedly played on. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 1988 and was one of the most successful premieres of the 1988-89 season, selling more than one million copies!! Their sound is a great mix of earlier AC/DC with Cinderella. That means huge choruses, very good production, fantastic riffs and solos, some bluesier touches and most of all "Dizzy" Dean Davidson's rough voice. Their similarities with Cinderella dont make them lose their own indentity. Highlights here are the classic tune of "Girlschool ", "Rock Revolution ", "Long Way to Love" and "Save the Weak ". A classic release from a very underrated hard rock band.
