REVIEW : Bai Bang – Sha Na Na Na (Release: 24.03.2023, Pride & Joy Music)

For those who love melodic hard rock with a glam 'pinch', then the name of BAI BANG is no stranger at all; hailing from Helsingborg, Sweden BAI BANG built up their name by writing catchy, up-tempo and ultra melodic songs enough to make you sing-a-long for days.

Heavenly influenced by bands such as KISS, Motley Crue, Def Leppard and the big acts from the late 80's, early 90's, glam hard rock scene BAI BANG is now ready to unleash its brand new opus entitled "SHA NA NA NA" through Pride & Joy Music this March.

Diddi Kastenholt: comments: „Due to the pandemic we had to slow things down. But the songwriting continued. Recording in the studio was not easy to do. But finally we could work 100% again. The results came out as the best Bai Bang album so far. 11songs with great riffs, melodies and catchy hooks. A great party album. Although there are some serious songs, too.“

After a couple of spins, I have to say that I really enjoyed this record a lot. High energetic melodic hard rock filled in with clever hooks, big choruses and edgy guitars. The band continues to the same and very successful formula of their last releases and, at the end, the final result will be warm welcomed by any fan of this particular sound. Highlights out of the new opus are "I Don't Really Know", "I Know All The Hits", "Motivated", "All Alone", the Def Leppard-ish "It's Enough" and "Having A Show".
