REVIEW : Adellaide – Deja Vu (Rel. Date: 29 July 2022, Label: Lions Pride Music)

Adellaide is a melodic hard rock/AOR that was formed back in 2016, following the trend of the new modern AOR scene with some strong touches of the glory 80's genre. They released the first EP "Adellaide", in the same year, and a record deal with the label Lions Pride Music 'helped' them to release the debut full album “Flying High”, The debut achieved to receive great positive reviews from the media and the fans.

Two years later, album number two, "New Horizons", saw the light of day and again gained some really excellent reviews from all around the world, especially from their homecountry Brazil. Nowadays, the band is ready for its brand new effort which is called "Deja Vu". The new opus is released through Lions Pride Music and its themed about time travel and has a great immersion of the 80's, with the production of Ed Omar Carabantes & Chris Siloma.

The opener "Transcendence" is a really very good tune, very melodic and very 80's and with the nessecery saxophone 'pinches' to give an extra flavour. The edgier "Superfanatic" and the keyboard-driven "Girl from Syria" are both highlights out of the new record. Both are super melodic and catchy and including all the right ingidiants to become fan favourites. "Unia" features a super tasteful guitar work while "Fell From The Sky" is yet another killer track. The up-beat "It's Not The End" is one of my personal favourite tunes out of the new effort.

All in all, ADELLAIDE's brand new "Deja Vu" is a solid record full of great tracks, strong arrangements, excellent guitar work and full of passionate performances enough to make you push the repeat button again and again. A totally great opus!!
