REVIEW : ANGELICA , All I Am (Frontiers Music s.r.l., 2020)

Best known as the lead singer of the cinematic melodic metal band of Murder Of My Sweet, Angelica Rylin is also a solo artist. Her debut opus, "Thrive", back in 2013 gained positive feedback from both fans and music press. Nowadays, it's time for album number two entitled "All I Am" through Frontiers Music.

Apart from Angelica (vocals), the new album also features Michael Palace on guitars, Pedro Cecar Camargo and Daniel Flores on keyboards, drums and backing vocals. Flores is also responsible for the production of "All I Am".

The first highlight of the new opus comes with the up-beat and extremely catchy tune of "Beat Them All". The chorus line is just excellent! The modern "Addicted To You", the emotional "I'm Sorry", the beautiful AOR-ish "Still Bleeding" (one of my personal favorites here...), the commercial "A Pounding Heart" and "Angel" are all great samples of pure melodic and updated melodic rock at its best.

All in all, this is a very enjoyable album from start to finish. Not a weak moment here; every single track is fullfiled with beautiful harmonies, melodies, strong perfromances from Angelica and memorable hooks that at the end makes "All I Am" a must not only for the female fronted rock bands but also for every AOR freak out there.
