The international super-group of Room Experience is back with a brand new record entitled "Another Time And Place". The new opus is going to be released through Art Of Melody Music & Burning Minds Music Group this May.
A few years back, Room Experience released its debut album and gained positive feedback from both fans and music press. The mastermind of this band/project, Gianluca Firmo, along with Davide "Dave Rox" Barbieri, Pierpaolo "Zorro" Monti and David Readman (Pink Cream 69, ex-Voodoo Circle, ex-Almanac) released an amazing debut. Nowadays and with the addition of axeman Steve De Biasi on guitar and Simon Dredo (De Rosso, Laroxx) as their new bass player Room Experience is back in business with yet another great effort.
The list of guests here is also impressive; Sven Larsson (Street Talk, Raintimes), Iván Gonzalez (91 Suite, Raintimes, Secret), Matteo Serra (Streetlore, Maryan, Charming Grace, Sovversivo), Stefano Zeni (Wheels Of Fire, Maryan), Marcello Spera (Alchemy) and Lorenzo Foddai (Airbound) complete the missing pieces of the puzzle while the 'mighty' Alessandro Del Vecchio put his signature in of the mix/mastering of the new opus.
The opening tune of "Hear Another Song" is simply breathtaking; somewhere between Pink Cream 69 and Readman's solo work this track is pure heaven bliss!! The chorus line is made to make you sing-a-long for days! "Wild Heart" and "Disappointed" are both great melodic and edgy rockers while with "Starngers In The Night" we have another clear winner from the new album. A simply fantastic and 'darker' melodic gem that left me hungry for more! The soulful "The Disatnce", the ultra commercial and up-tempo "Shout" and the amazing AOR-ish "Thousand Lies" are all three killers! All three include excellent harmonies, fantastic melodic lines, great arrangements and, most of all, David Readman's superb performances.
For sure one of this year's highlights! Room Experience with their brand new "Another Time And Place" strikes back with a killer no filler record all the way! If you love high quality melodic rock/edgy AOR and bands such as Work Of Art, Lionville, Shining Line or you loved David Readman's solo work, then you HAVE to add this masterpiece to your collection. Top stuff!
