"Synchronized" is entitled FM's brand new opus, and already twelfth official release!! The album is going to be released through Frontiers Music this May and it's about yet another strong and extremely melodic effort from these rock veterans.
For those who follow FM through the years, they already know that this band is synonymous with quality, melody, big hooks and choruses and, of course, with the excellent and soulful performances by Steve Overland.
The new album kicks-off with the classic FM tune of "Synchronized"! A track that features a nice groove, crunchy guitars, the well-known harmonic lines and Steve Overland's breathtaking vocals. "Superstar" is a great an up-lifting melodic rockebeast while with "Best Of Times" we have another yet huge FM track. Melodic as it gets with a beautiful and 'silky' melody to surround it perfectly "Best Of Times" is among my personal favourites from the new opus.
In "Ghosts Of You And I", FM is delivering a killer song. A softer and very AOR-ish moodier mid-tempo that will attract each and every melodic rock fan out there. The guitar work is absolute sentasional!!! The edgier "Broken" and the staright-forward "Change For The Better" are both highlights and they both are gonna be future classics. "End Of Days", "Pray" and "Walk Through The Fire" are all movin' to the classic melodic rock paths of the band's earlier works. All three songs are full-filled with strong melodies, solid arrangements, quality and Steve Overland's voice sounds better than ever! Steve Overland is like fine wine; his voice sound powerful, soulful and with the same range!!! Top class singer! "Angels Cried" is another gem out of the new opus. More soulful, bluesier and with an amazing harmonic line to die for. It reminds me of Michael Bolton at his best!
For those who love and follow this band since day one, "Synchronized" is a must have. For the newer melodic rock fans out there is, also, highly recommended. FM is a classic band in its genre and with each and every record you know exactly what to expect; quality and top class AOR/Melodic Rock stuff!
