Wake The Nations is a band that for sure knows how to write catchy, up-tempo and powerful melodic rock songs. The living proof of that is called "Heartrock"!! "Heartrock" will blow up your minds on January 25th next year (2019) through AOR Heaven! The band's debut opus, "Sign Of Heart", was released back in 2015 and gained positive feedback from both fans and music press.
This time the band comes hungrier than ever to conquer this so competitive scene of melodic rock/powerful AOR music. Somewhere between One Desire, H.E.A.T. and The Nights WAKE THE NATIONS is trying hard to deliver, and for sure they do, energetic and in-your-face edgy melodic rock stuff.
The first three songs that open "Heartrock" are pure melodic rock bliss!! All of these three songs include some excellent melodies, crunchy guitars, hooks n' choruses to sing-a-long and solid arrangements!! "All My Life" is a good mid-tempo rocker while in "Now You're Gone" we have the first power ballad of the new record. Big, emotional, modern and with this late 80's vibe in it "Now You're Gone" is just an excellent sample of a strong ballad. "Fallen Angel" is just killer modern melodic rock at it's best! Man, doesn't get better than this? The chorus, the hookline, the moody melody and the guitar solo are all in perfect harmony. "New Day" is heavier with a bigger groove while in "Something In Your Eyes" we are dealing with yet another highlight out of the new record.
Mark the day of January 25th 2019 on your calendar! WAKE THE NATIONS with their brand new opus, "Heartrock", are ready to satisfy the aficionados melodic rock freaks out there. If you love bands such as Eclipse, H.E.A.T., One Desire and Reckless Love, then this album is just for you!!! Well done!!
