REVIEW : Midnite City, In At The Deep End (Pride & Joy Music, Release: 23.06.2023)

Midnite City is a band that since its creation back in 2017 revels the sound of the glory late 80's, early 90's, Hair Metal era with style and attitude! Their  second album 'There Goes The Neighbourhood' being voted 5th best album of the year in Classic Rock magazine, as well as being voted one of the best albums in the 35 year history of Burrn magazine in Japan.

Since then, the band have headlined tours in the UK, played also in festivals in Europe, alongside sold out shows in Japan and Australia, and continue to dazzle a growing legion of die hard fans around the world with their high energy, up-beat, melodic and anthemic party rock.

So, after the release of their latest solid opus, "Itch You Can't Scratch" in 2021, the band strikes band with the brand new "In At The Deep End" through Pride & Joy Music this June. Mixed by Grammy award winning producer Chris Laney (Europe, Pretty Maids, CrashDiet, Crazy Lixx), the band delivers yet another fantastic slice of pure Hair Metal stuff in a very old-fashioned way!!

Singer and songwriter Rob Wylde comments about the new record : 'It's not often we can sit back after an album is done and be 100% happy with it. But in this case, we can whole heartedly say that we are. This is the quintessential Midnite City album, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it for you'.

"Ready To Go" is the track that kicks-off the new album and it's the first highlight of "In At The Deep End". Very 80's, high-energetic, ass-kickin' and with a huge chorus line this track is pure gold! "Someday", "Good Time Music", "Girls Gone Wild" and "Raise The Dead" are all great up-beat songs that sounds like they jumped out from bands such as Danger Danger , Motley Crue and Def Leppard!! The choruses, the arrangements and every little thing in those tracks sounds big and anthemic!!  "Hardest Heart To Break" and "It's Not Me It's You" are both huge melodic hard rock songs in a highest order!! The melodies and the harmonic lines are out of this world and both tunes could easile be in MTV's playlist back in the late 80's!!!

Midnite City with their brand new "In At The Deep End" achieve to release a true hymn to the glory melodic hard rock/hair metal era of the late 80's, early 90's, that includes only killer songs, a tight musicianship and a feel-good vibe!!!
