REVIEW : DAMN DICE --- THRILLER KILLER (2018)

Too metal for the rockers, too catchy for the metalheads, too punk for the pop rockers, too heavy for the punks’.....I think that DAMN DICE describes it very good how its music sounds. Heavy guitars, catchy hooks n' choruses, tons of attitude and with a mid 80's hair metal vibe, Damn Dice comes to prove that this scene has a lot more to offer.

The band has already released an EP ('WILD 'N' READY') and a full-length album ('THE GREAT UNKNOWN') which both gained positive feedback from both fans and press. An incredible response from the fans that has brought the band to play esteemed venues and festivals around the UK and Europe, such as Hard Rock Hell Festival, Breaking Bands Festival, and the prestigious Electric Ballroom of Camden Town, UK.

"Thrill Of The Kill" kicks-off this new album and it's about a great opener all the way. Heavy, in-your-face and up-tempo this tune is made for big arenas. "Stories I Write", "Turn Back The Clock" and "Leaving With Nothing" are all three solid samples of Damn Dice's music. It's exactly what this band represents; it's a great mix of metal along with the classic hair metal scene of the late 80's, early 90's. The guitars are heavy but without missing the melody at all, the vocals are rough, powerful and with attitude and the choruses are enough memorable to make you whistle them for days. More heaviness and groove in "Got To Know" and "Back Again" while in "Find Me" we have a really cool and modern melodic heavy rock anthem.

All in all, this is an extremely interesting release from Damn Dice. An album that aims to each and every fan of the metal/hard rock sound in general. It mixes in a very clever way the 'old' with the 'new' and the result is pretty attractive. Mark the name of DAMN DICE on your calendar and buy this album, you won't be disappointed!
