Now, this is yet another new release that I was looking forward to listening to. Swedish melodic rock band of Taste is releasing its brand new opus with the title "Moral Decay" through AOR Heaven this August. Taste was born in 2008 when the two brothers, Christoffer and Felix Borg decided to make music together. The vision was to make classic n' 80's AOR music, inspired by bands such as FM, Giant and Strangeways.
The band's debut album was released back in 2013 and received positive feedback from both fans and music press. After doing a few live performances as TASTE, the two brothers joined ART NATION. During this Time, Christoffer started to study to become a music producer and together with his brother they decided to leave TASTE aside until there was enough time to do it properly.
“Moral Decay” is recorded and mixed at Top Floor Studios, Gothenburg, by Christoffer Borg (Anthrax, Amaranthe, Danko Jones). The album is mastered by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Amaranthe, Epica).

Next, we have the amazing power ballad of "On My Shoulders" which is again very Art Nation-esque and includes a superb melody in it. With the ultra-catchy tune of "Rainbow Warrior", the rockier "Adventureland" and the guitar-driven "My Own Worst Enemy" TASTE says 'we're back for good to rock your world'!!! All three include strong arrangements, plenty of melodies, hooks n' choruses to sing-a-long and solid performances!! One of my personal favorite tunes out of "Moral Decay" is the beautiful mid-tempo of "Lost In Myself". It's a song that is filled with emotions, a modern feeling in it, a killer guitar solo and as I already said, it's one of my favorites here.
For sure, these two brothers will bother us in the near future with bigger things. For the moment, the only thing that you have to do is mark 31st of August on your calendar and go out to buy this little gem. Or to be more specific....taste it!!
