REVIEW : Streetlight, Night Vision (Frontiers Music, Release Date : March 14, 2025)

Sweden's melodic rock act of Streetlight is releasing its brand new opus entitled "Night Vision". After the successful debut effort "Ignition" a couple of years back, it is now back in business to offer us yet another fine slice of pure melodic rock/AOR record in the vain of classic bands such as Foreigner, TOTO and Journey

"Long-Distance Runner", the opener tune, kicks-off things here with some edgy guitars, a catchy chorus and big keys and it's among my personal favourites out of the new album. The emotional "Learn To Love Again" with its fantastic chorus is yet another highlight while with "Straight To Video" we have a straight-forward rocker with a lot of energy in it! In "Late Night Hollywood" STREETLIGHT is delivering a killer track that reminded me a bit of AUTOGRAPH's classic 'Turn Up The Radio'!!! Check out, also, the amazing and in some parts 'Def Leppard-ish' "Fly With Eagles" and the beautiful ballad "Where Did Love Go".

Overall "Night Vision" is a solid and extremely beautiful melodic rock album all the way! Streetlight achieved to combine perfectly the classic AOR sound of the late 80's with a more up-to-dated and fresh approach and the result is this great album.
