REVIEW : VOLSTER --- Perfect Storm (ROAR Rock Of Angles Records, April 20, 2018)

VOLSTER is a new melodic hard rock band that consists of guitarist Ulf Andersson and bass player Henrik Lundberg (who were both members of the band Masquerade), Peter Tenning on vocals and Daniel Granlund (Syconaut) on drums. It seems like April of 2018 will be a hot month!! One of the most anticipated releases of 2018 will finally see the light of day. I'm talking about PERFECT PLAN's debut album which is entitled "All Rise". I think that Frontiers Music hit bulls eye with the addition of PERFECT PLAN in their roster.

REVIEW : Odyssey Desperado – Don't Miss The Sunset (Lions Pride Music, 2018)

This can easily be THE album of the year! No doubt 'bout that! But let's see who is Odyssey Desperado. The mastermind behind this really amazing band is called Odysseas Karapolitis. Yep, this guy started all this back in 2014 in Athens, Greece. The missing pieces of the puzzle were completed with the addition of one of the best Greek voices in the genre Manos Fatsis and with the 'mighty' Bob Katsionis (Firewind, solo artist, e.t.c.) on the production the project took flesh and bones.

Heavy Paradise : Hello Luca, and welcome back to heavy paradise for this interview! It’s been a long time, almost 4 years and already 4 albums, since our last interview here. So, what happened since our last chat in Temperance camp?

Temperace (Luca): Guys, thank you! It's a great pleasure to stay here with you again!
Basically these four years changed our life as at first as musicians and of course as humans. In just four years Temperance published three studio album and one live DVD, and I think the DVD has been a sort of turning point, including the first Temperance "Era" and closing a circle of events, it represents the evolution of Temperance's first three albums sound. As you know, now Temperance grow up with two new members as lead singers, increasing the sound and reaching the total number of three singers in the band, creating an original twist of modern-metal harmonies. The album "Of Jupiter And Moons" continues the natural Temperance's sound evolution and now we can't wait to play on stage sharing our new songs with you!!

Heavy Paradise : Well, a new album, “Of Jupiter And Moons”, and a new line-up. Allow me to say that your new opus grabbed me at the first spin and left me thrilled! Well done! In my humble opinion, this is probably your best record to-date. Are you satisfied by the result of “Of Jupiter And Moons” and the chemistry of the new line-up?

Temperace (Luca): Thank you!! I'm thrilled too!! As I said before, the new line-up increased the sound so much! It becomes so powerful and adrenaline. This is the first album with our two new singers, you know, but at the same time it is the first official studio record including the very great drumming of Alfonso, who joined the band just one year ago playing on Temperance's DVD. "Of Jupiter And Moons" is a right winess of our new chemistry.

REVIEW : TEMPERANCE --- Of Jupiter And Moons (Scarlet Records, April 2018)

Without any doubt the modern melodic metal band of Temperance is one of the most talented of its kind in this scene in the recent years. With already three solid releases, so far, Temperance is back in business with their brand new opus with the title "Of Jupiter And Moons" through Scarlet Records.

Fallen Angels (IT) Glam Rock | Hard Rock

Fallen Angels were formed in 2011 from the creative minds of Matthew Ice and Ste Wizard. They started life as a cover band playing a style of rock music that was big in the eighties, glam rock. The band are chiefly influenced by such luminaries as Motley Crue, Poison, Ratt, Europe, Aerosmith and many others. In addition to the style of music, the group have gone to great lengths to revive the true atmosphere of concerts from that period with related costumes and scenography that, over the years, have made this rock genre exciting and captivating. With the entry in 2014 of the new frontman Matty Mannant and the drummer Luke Gyzz, the band delved deeper into their own 80’s sound and began devoting themselves to writing and performing their own tracks.

Fallen Angels spent 2017 perfecting their first full debut album, Even Priest Knows. This is a record that pays homage to the 80’s, giving a rebirth to the glam style of music whilst adding an original and versatile touch with different musical nuances. All this without ever abandoning the rock vein that distinguishes it.

REVIEW : FM --- Atomic Generation (Frontiers Music s.r.l., March 2018)

One of the most beloved AOR bands out there is without any doubt FM. Since their debut album, "Indiscreet" back in 1986, FM has always released high-quality and extremely melodic records. To name a few (and, of course, all are my personal favorites), "Tough It Out", "Aphrodesiac" and the more recent "Metropolis" and "Rockville" are all great samples of an amazing band.

REVIEW : Heartwind --- Higher And Higher (AOR Heaven, April 2018)

Heartwind is the story of two old friends, guitar player and songwriter Goran Engvall (former with Hitworks) and progressive/melodic keyboard player and fellow songwriter Mikael Rosengren (Constancia, Token, Scudiero), with a common love for melodic hard rock and AOR, that after fifteen years of friendship started to write the album they always wanted.

Finally, a new W.E.T. album is ready and loaded!! One of my favorite 'new' bands from the melodic rock/hard rock scene strikes back with a brand new album with the title "Earthrage". W.E.T. is a band that consists of Robert Säll (the “W” from Work of Art), Erik Mårtensson (the “E” from Eclipse) Jeff Scott Soto (the “T” from Talisman), guitarist Magnus Henriksson and drummer Robban Bäck.

REVIEW : Bonfire --- Temple Of Lies (AFM Records, April 2018)

I truly love this band! Bonfire is one of my all time favorite bands from the European melodic hard rock scene ever! Having released back in the mid 80's but, also, in the early/mid 90's some classic records (Don't Touch The Light, Fireworks, Point Black and Rebel Soul) these Germans strike back with a brand new opus which is entitled "Temple Of Lies" through AFM RECORDS.

MONUMENT Reveal 'HELLHOUND' Album Details

British Heavy Metal Band MONUMENT have announced the release of their third studio album „Hellhound“ on May 25th, 2018 via ROAR Rock Of Angels Records. The album, consisting of 9 plus 3 bonus tracks of pure British heavy metal, will also be available in a limited 500 copy Boxset version, red, yellow and orange marbled double vinyl and on black vinyl (9 tracks only). Twin guitar melodies, loud bass tones, thundering drums and soaring tenor vocals are all present in abundance. Lyrically, the album draws inspiration from a variety of sources like history, urban London life, the occult and personal relationships.

The italian alternative metal band STARSICK SYSTEM has launched its new crowdfunding campaign on MusicRaiser to produce and release its new EP HALF.

The band is moving from the modern hard rock of the beginning, to a more alternative metal sound, following band like Stone Sour, Nothing More, Alter Bridge, Sixx:A.M., Shinedown, Starset and much more.
