SEVENTH KEY / I WILL SURVIVE (2013)

After a long time, this superb melodic rock band is back to offer to us another solid and extremely melodic rock album. Seventh Key consists of the great guitar player Mike Slamer (Steelhouse Lane, Streets), Billy Greer of Kansas and drummer Chet Wynd. The music here is still based on the well-known AOR paths of their previous two releases with a strong dose of some inspired prog-rock pinches and the final result will please every single fan of this band who waited patiently for a new record.

Everything here is in perfect harmony (guitars, keys, rhythm section, vocals) and the three acclaimed musicians surrounded by some well-known artists such as Billy Trudel, Terry Brock and keyboard player David Manion among others.

The album starts in a 'classic' Seventh Key way; and that means a huge harmony, great keys and a catchy chorus line to sing-a-long for days! "Lay In On The Line" rocks harder with a superb guitar work by Mike Slamer and an 80's vibe in it! "I See You There" is another excellent example of pure melodic rock bliss with some stunning prog-rock pinches and a chorus line to die for!! Great stuff!! "It's Just A State Of Mind" is great feel-good rocker while in "Sea Of Dreams" we have the first acoustic-ballad of the album. "Time And Time Again" is a more straight-forward rocker with great arrangements, superb guitar lines and passionate vocal performances! "When Love Sets You Free", "Down", "The Only One" and "I Want It All" are all four simple amazing and pure melodic hard rock stuff that makes you wanna push the repeat button again and again!!!

Bottom line is that there is no single filler in sight here, only killer songs! If you like the first two releases then you'll love this one too, no doubt 'bout that! This is a brilliant record all the way made by some recognized musicians with heart and soul! A top-class melodic album that should not go unnoticed by any fan of this scene!!!
