TIGERTAILZ / KNIVES (EP, 2013)

TIGERTAILZ is back! Yes, one of my all time favorite sleaze metal bands are finally back with a brand new line-up and a new EP which is entitled "Knives". Founder member Jay Pepper has reunited with long-time drummer Matt Blakout along with singer Jules Millis and bassist Rob Wylde to create the band's next chapter.

This EP starts with the old-fashioned "Shoe Collector". A cool rocker that mixes the old Tigertailz sound with a more fresh air and the result will please every single fan of this band. "One Life" is a simply fantastic mid-tempo tune with an impressive chorus line but, also, a killer guitar work!! For sure, one of the highlights here. "Bite The Hand" shows a punchier sound while in "Spit It Out" we have another up-tempo rocker with a nice rhythm and an 80's vibe. "Punched In The Gutz" is a more modern track and reminds the band's last works.

A really nice comeback from a great band, even if the line-up has nothing to do with their glory days. The new members seem to have brought some new ideas and the final result sounds fresh and it's sure that will please both the old and the new fans of Tigertailz!! Well done!
