Getting together to write your first album in over eighteen years is no easy feat, especially when the band members are spread out all over the globe. But after many successful years of touring on the heels of their classic albums "DON'T COME EASY" and "STRENGTH IN NUMBERS", Tyketto felt it was time to introduce the fans to new music.
When Danny Vaughn, in the interview that he gave me, announced me that his band is writing new material for an up-coming album, I was really thrilled! You see Tyketto is one of my old time favourite bands ever and their debut album, "Don't Come Easy" is among my beloved releases from the melodic hard rock scene! All the original band members agreed to make a new record, but on some conditions. The music had to be written by the core writing team of Danny Vaughn, Brooke St. James, and Michael Arbeeny (Clayton). The music should have stayed true to the Tyketto roots, but at the same time the album should have reflected where the band members lives were today. And last the album should rock!!!!
"Faithless" which opens the new record is a blast! This is a classic Tyketto tune of the past with some newer elements and the result is simply awesome! Crunchy guitar sound, very good arrangements along with Vaughn's superb vocal performances and there you have the all new Tyketto!! "Love To Love" is another very good tune while "Evaporate" is one of the album's highlights! Great commercial tune with a catchy chorus line that makes you wanna whistl it for days! Well done! "Monday" is solid and "Dig In Deep" is another highlight"!! "Sound Of" and "Left This One Slide" both tracks could easily have appeared in any of Tyketto's first two releases. Both are great rockers!
All in all, this is a great comeback album from Tyketto. The fact is that I didn't expect a "Don't Come Easy" number two! This is a solid record with all the great band's elements in it plus a new and fresher air in a record that will not dissapoint any of the die-hards of Tyketto. Welcome back boys!

From what I've heard, I can say this isn't my cup of tea ... The band didn't convince me. Their music sounds decent but doesn't thrill me. (As you use the word to describe the situation of another band :) this is a "typical" rockband-from-the-past come back. By "typical", I mean "decent but not exceptional" ;)
