Absynth Aura were officially born in 2007, when Claudia "Klod" Saponi worked in close collaboration with Michele "Dr.Viossy" Vioni (Killing Touch, Mr. Pig) and Giorgio "JT" Terenziani (Killing Touch, Mr. Pig) to release the song "Will is Power". Marco "Mark" Renzi joined the team and Absynth Aura were born. "Will is Power" wins the CESVI contest and Claudia tours Europe to promote the song in some important venues.
After some listenings, I have to say that I like what I'm hearing. Their music is a bit complex for my personal tastes but it's overall good. Absynth Aura is heavy, melodic, dark, modern and the band is tryin' to combine all these elements for the 'Unbreakable' album. In my ears, the result isn't bad at all. They have some excellent tunes such as the extremely melodic pop/rock tune of 'Smile', which has a heavenly melody and a catchy chorus line, the groovier "Will Is Power" with the stunning guitar work, the emotional ballad "Looking For The One", my personal favourite "Life" and the huge cover track of "Zombie"! There are also a couple of songs that are a bit average but that doesn't effect the whole result.
Bottom line is that this is a very interesting release from Absynth Aura. It has attitude, great performances and some very strong moments in it. I would recommend this album for the fans of female fronted melodic hard and heavy with some modern elements but, also, some pop-rock or even proggy elements! Well done!!
