MISS BEHAVIOUR / LAST WOMAN STANDING (2011)

MISS BEHAVIOUR is a band that comes from Sweden (where else?) and they are playing melodic hard rock. Their debut album "Heart Of Midwinter" was released in 2006 and it was a very good release. Nowadays, Miss Behaviour is back with their brand new "Last Woman Standing" and it's an album that could send them to the elit European bands! Only two of the former members are still in the band, guitarist Erik Heikne and keyboard player Henrik Sproge, plus the two newcomers, singer/bass player Sebastian Roos and drummer Anders Berlin, who are givin' a brand new air to the band's sound.

This time the sound is a bit more updated without loosing its originality. It has all the elements of their debut plus some bigger and catchier choruses and the result is absolutely brilliant. Big sing-a-long chorus lines, huge harmonies, very good guitar work and a crystal clear production. My opinion is that the new lead singer fits perfectly with the band's sound and his performances are all top notch! The guitar work is simple but overall very good with some killer riffs and solos and the rhythm section is solid. In "Last Woman Standing" also appears, as guest star, MASTERPLAN's guitarist Roland Grapow who takes over some guitar duties in  "Perfect War". A really big surprise!

Henrik Sproge in his recent interview in Heavy Paradise (http://heavyparadise.blogspot.com/2011/01/interview-with-henrik-sproge-of-miss.html) said about this collaboration : "A lot of people are curious about this and asks how we got him to do a solo for us. The answer; we wrote an e-mail and asked him! It was very easy. Both me and Erik are huge fans of Roland and he was an obvious choice for us. I remember when we were watching Helloween’s “High Live” on VHS and how we got completely blown away by Rolands solos in the song “The Chance”. He is a legend!"

Bottom line is that "Last Woman Standing" is a very good melodic hard rock album with some amazing tracks in it and one of my favourite this year's releases. An album that will please every single fan of this gerne. A must have!
