Yngwie Malmsteen / Eclipse (1990)

One of the best albums in Melodic Hard Rock and for sure a classic Malmsteen effort. Originaly released in 1990 and featuring Goran Edman on lead vocals, Malmsteen releasing this huge album. There is no need to talk about Malmsteen's skills, the only thing that I have to say is that this guy had ,and still have it, a unique playing and feeling. About the album is very difficult to pick up a track as a favourite 'cause every single track here is perfect. The opener of "Making Love" is the ultimate classic track and the most recognisable Malmsteen's tunes ever. "Bedroom Eyes" is another one fantastic song with a huge chorus line. "Save Our Love" is the first ballad of "Eclipse" and it's an overall good one. "Motherless Child " & "Devil in Disguise" are both strong heavy rockers with some incredible guitar solos and licks! "Judas" is probably the album's best track. It has an inspired riff and a memorable chorus, one of my favourite Malmsteen tunes ever. The rest of the songs are from good to excellent. All in all this is a classic release from this great guitarist, a bit more commercial but a really strong one.
