REVIEW : OUT OF THIS WORLD, Out Of This World (2021 RCA/Victor Japan)

OUT OF THIS WORLD is a band that was born from the collaboration of the extraordinary guitarist Kee Marcello (ex-EUROPE, solo artist) and the lead singer of FAIR WARNING Tommy Heart. This debut opus between these two talenetd musicians is gonna be released only in Japan.

Apart from Kee Marcello and Tommy Heart, the band consists also of Ken Sandlin (ALIEN) on bass and Darby Todd (THE DARKNESS, GARY MOORE). Plus to the above mentioned musicians is the legendary Don Airey of DEEP PURPLE and there you have a killer line-up! At this point, of course, I have to mention that the production is handled by the one and only Ron Nevison

The sound of this debut is movin' somewhere between EUROPE's "Prisoners In Paradise"/"Out Of This World" and, of course, ('cause of Tommy Heart's voice) FAIR WARNING's earlier releases. The guitar work is really tremendous (we all know Marcello's abilities) and the performances of Tommy Heart are the cherry on top.

Highlights out of this brand new record are the anthemic "Twillight", the commercial "Hanging On", "Lighting Up My Dark", "Up To You", "Ain't Gonna Let You Go", the beautiful ballad of "Only You Can Teach Me How To Love Again" and the very EUROPE-esque "Not Tonight".

Overall, this brand new album from OUT OF THIS WORLD is a mandatory purchase for both fans of the classic EUROPE (Prisoners In Paradise, Out Of This World era) and FAIR WARNING works. Some really breathtaking guitar work by Kee Marcello along with the unique vocals of Tommy Heart makes this opus a killer one!
