The new record is slightly heavier, is bigger than life, punchier and it includes some excellent melodies in it is enough to make you wanna push the repeat button again and again. It's an album that's movin' across the paths of Black Stone Cherry's releases and that's a thing that I loved the most 'cause, personally, I'm a big fan of B.S.C.'s music.
The guitars are 'smokin' ", the arrangements are tight as hell and the vocals of Marco Baruffetti are powerful and in-your-face. The groove is tasty and the dark almost melancholic vibe in most of the songs gives the extra flavour to make this opus a great one.
Highlights here are the aggressive "Give It Away", the beautiful "Whatever You Want Me (To Do)", "Starlight" (which reminded me a bit of Bullet For My Valentine's latest work..), "Mama Said", the radio-friendly "The Love You've Waited" and the punchy "In My Room".
All in all, this is another yet pleasant surpise that grabbed from the first spin and left me with a wide smile upon my face. It's a damn fine sample of how a modern hard rock album should sounds!! Love every moment of it!
