The italian hard rock band RATZMATAZ have just joined logic(il)logic Records and are now working on their debut album "Global Revolution", which will be released in Spring 2012

The band Ratzmataz started in April 2006 from the great passion for r’n’r’ shared by Martino Pighi (drums) and Loris Marchiori (guitar and vocals) over the last ten years. For this reason they formed a power trio playing solid hard rock from the 70’s. The third member to join the band is Diego Franchini (bass and background vocals), with whom they had played a couple of years before during a short but intense session for a tribute to the GNR album ‘Appetite For Destruction’

This lineup worked hard on song-writing, unwilling to be labelled as cover band, and the first eight tracks were finished in less than one month. During that summer Ratzmataz started performing in live shows, and after a first trial experience at Rock Festival in Caselle it opened the show for the renewed band Small Jackets. Live tour continued in many pubs/clubs around Verona till April 2007. During this period Ratzmataz played as opening band for Bullfrog and Acitiacca; not to forget the much enjoyable shows with their friends Chernobyl Boys.

In Winter 2008 Ratzmataz produced their first demo/ep which was distributed to the audience for free during their live shows. In Summer 2008 the trio has been honoured to open the Rock Night at Soundpark Festival together with the renewed band Wind, and playing in front of an audience of 1500 persons. In March 2009 Ratzmataz were invited to a Radio show called “Rock Legend” by RCS, where they presented their EP. In August 2009 the trio opened the show for the band THEE STP at Cà Verde Factory.

At the end of that year Diego Franchini left the band. Ratzmataz decided to take a long break to find a new bassist. After a long research Alberto Bianchi, a talented and experienced bass player with a touch of sound from the 70’s, fond of funky and jazz rhythm, was chosen. The two original members of the band immediately realized that, despite the different music background, Alberto was the right one and they began to work together with a new and fresh enthusiasm.

After a couple of trial gigs, mainly as tests to improve the band’s chemistry, Ratzmataz were invited to open the tour date in Verona for Rain - a band from Bologna which had just returned from a tour in the US alongside with W.A.S.P. As of today the trio has performed over a hundred gigs between pubs and festivals, being appreciated a lot not only in the area of Verona but also in Padova, Vicenza, Prato, Parma, Bologna, Brescia and Trento. In November 2011 Ratzmataz sign with logic(il)logic Records to produce their first full-length album. In the meantime the band is carrying on their live activity. Its music has been influenced by classic hard rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, AC/DC and Free.
