HUMAN ZOO / OVER THE HORIZON (2007)

"Over The Horizon" is the band's second release after their successful debut in 2006 titled "Precious Time". Their influences from bands such as Gotthard and Pink Cream 69 are once again obvious without the band loosing its personality. The production is handled by the mighty Dennis Ward of Pink Cream 69.

The fact is that I was really impressed by the band's debut album and I was anxious about this one. Ok, this one is a very good album but in my humble opinion their debut was a bit better! After the one minute instrumental intro, the band shows its power with some really impressive hard rock tracks such as "Cryin'", "Over The Horizon", "Communicate" and "Want It" which are all melodic hard rock bliss with catchy chorus lines and great guitar work! Once agian, the band is using the saxophone which is giving an extra flavour to the album's final result! "Be The One" it's a good tune while "Creatures Of The Night" is probably the album's best moment! It's a commercial song with the saxophone in the leading role and a melody that stick in your mind for days! Great! Just great! "Rock Your Town" and "Hit The Rock" are both excellent!

All in all, this is another solid release from Human Zoo and a must have for the fans of Gotthard, Pink Cream 69, Bonfire and Fair Warning! Recommended!
