SHADOWMAN / WATCHING OVER YOU (2011)

SHADOWMAN is the band that consists of guitarist Steve Morris and vocalist Steve Overland. Along with bassist Chris Childs and Harry James on drums, both from Brittish hard rockers Thunder, they have created the band's fourth release.

So, in "Watching Over You" you are about to hear a solid melodic rock album in the vain of FM and  Thunder that will certainly please every fan of pure melodic rock stuff. The songwritting is once again top notch and the musicianship is tight. The guys in SHADOWMAN have achieved to make a very good chemistry between them. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of this band but I have to say that after a lot listenings of this album "Watching Over You" still remains in regular play in my cd player. Highlights here are the splendid "Across The Universe", the AORish "Stop Breaking This Heart Of Mine", the moody "Heaven Waits" and my personal favourite "Are You Ready".

Overall, this is a solid release from SHADOWMAN that even though maybe not the highlight of the year, it's a well-played melodic rock album by some veterans of this scene who know how to rock. Well done!!!!
