Alex De Rosso / Alex De Rosso (1995)

This is Alex De Rosso's first solo album. Originally released in 1995, "Alex De Rosso" album was written, arranged and produced by Alex himself. This album is, in most of its parts, instrumental. The album, also, contains two songs with David Reece (Accept, Bangalore Choir) on lead vocals. There is, also, one track, "Take Me To The River", in which the lead vocals are sunged by Alex De Rosso! The other members of the band are Eugene Masiero, Alex Arcuri, and Louis Stefanini on bass guitars and Dave Zanetti on drums.

The instumental tracks are all well played with nice arrangements and great guitar work. By the way, I have the feeling that George Lynch must have been a huge inspiration for De Rosso. Alex is a highly skilled guitarist and he is capable to play from heavier tunes to some more bluesier, but, also, groovier tunes as well! I really like his music 'cause he's got feeling when he is playing the six string!

The two songs, in which David Reece takes over the lead vocals are superb hard rockin' tracks with big choruses, powerfull performances and huge guitar work! Both tracks could easily appear in Bangalore Choir's debut album! All in all, this is a must have album for every guitar fan out there and it's an album to discover a great guitar player!!
