Red Dawn / Never Say Surrender (1993)

This is a fantastic album! A personal favourite and perhaps one of the best melodic rock albums ever! "Never Say Surrender" released back in 1993 and it is one of these albums that should be in every melodic rock collection!

In this album everything appeals in perfect harmony. From the huge vocal lines of Larry Baud (later Network), the superb guitar work from Tristan Avakian (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) to the melodic keyboards from the mighty David Rosenthal (Good Rats, Hammerhead, Departure and Vinnie Moore among others) everything here is perfect! It's too bad that this band didn't make it to become a huge name with some later albums and it's, also, sad that this cd (was) is too hard to find for years and the prices all over the net were way too high!!!

The music is the perfect mix between some old Rainbow, in places, Alias, Hardline, Journey.....and generally a high quality melodic rock album that will blow up your mind! Inspired catchy choruses, a huge rhythmic section, killer solos and riffs, great performances and a very good production. As you can see I love this album! So it's too damn difficult to pick up a song as my favourite. Every single track here rocks. Buy it!
