Dogface / In Control (2002)

'In Control' was Dogface's follow-up album to their successful debut which was titled 'Unleashed'! The fact is that back then I anticipated this one with a lot of suspence 'cause of their debut and how great it was! But I was a bit disappointed by this release. But don't get me wrong! This ain't a bad album but in comparison with 'Unleashed' this is an average one.

The great vocals by Mats Leven are still here, the huge guitar work and the strong production are also here, but in my opinion this album lacks some memorable choruses! In their debut album it was a bit difficult to find a weak moment or a filler. In this one it seems that the average songs are more than the good ones. Highlights here are the heavy opener "Not Wanted", the pretty good "Alone Again" with a cool chorus and a nice hook, "Leave This War" and " Sleeping With The Enemy".
All in all, this is a good cd but as I mentioned earlier it lacks off the big moment or moments!
