REVIEW : EXTREME, SIX (EAR MUSIC , Release Date : June 9, 2023)

It's been 15 years since Boston based melodic funk hard rockers EXTREME released "Saudades De Rock". Extreme is a band that never followed 'safe' paths! They had the image, the attitude of the classic hair metal band but regarding their sound they were always trying to rich it with many elements.

Finnish melodic hard rockers RECKLESS LOVE are back in music scene with their brand new opus entitled "Turborider". The new album is going to be released through AFM Records this February. Following a 4-year hiatus and just recently received gold awards for their first three albums in Finland, singer Olli Herman and his gang are now gearing up for their next move.

REVIEW : Supernova Plasmajets – Now Or Never (Pride & Joy Music, Release date: 22.10.2021)

Supernova Plasmajets is a band that since its creation, in 2013, it has released two solid records that both gained positive feedback from music press and fans around the world. With its modern but, also, classic 80's melodic hard rock music, Supernova Plasmajets is a band that knows right how to 'speak' straight through the heart of every rock fan out there.

REVIEW : Constancia, Brave New World (Pride & Joy Music Release: 18 June 2021)

CONSTANCIA started in 2007, as the brainchild of former Scudiero/Token keyboard player Mikael Rosengren. He had written some songs that he wanted to record. He got in touch with guitarist Janne Stark (Overdrive, Grand Design, Locomotive Breath etc) and asked him to play guitars in his opus. The 'next' addition was drummer Peter “TrumPeter” Svensson (ex-Mercy, Faith). Mikael added Jaded Heart bassist Michael Müller, and together they searched out various vocalists before finding David Fremberg (Andromeda). CONSTANCIA’s took flesh and blood and their debut “Lost And Gone” was finally released in 2009.

REVIEW : A NEW TOMORROW, Universe (Frontiers Music s.r.l., Release: 6 December 2019)

A NEW TOMORROW is a new modern melodic rock band that has its roots in London. Formed back in 2009 by vocalist/guitarist Alessio Garavello (Ex Powerquest/Arthemis) and bassist Andrea Lonardi, A New Tomorrow soon took flesh and bones with the addition of Tim Hall on drums and Michael Kew on guitars.

REVIEW : ROXY BLUE, Roxy Blue (Frontiers Music s.r.l. Release: 9 August 2019)

Roxy Blue was a band that back then, in the golden days of Hair Metal, made a big noise with its debut record entitled "Want Some". Time changed, the music business changed a lot and, unfortunately, this band didn't become bigger.

REVIEW : TESLA --- SHOCK (2019)

Legendary band of TESLA comes back with yet another killer opus entitled "Shock". Phil Collen of Def Leppard is responsible of the production of this new record and I have to say that apart from the 'Leppardized' of Tesla, he has done an overall great job here.

REVIEW : THE END MACHINE --- The End Machine (Frontiers Music s.r.l., Release: 22 March 2019)

The End Machine is a brand new project that features classic-era DOKKEN members George Lynch, Jeff Pilson, and Mick Brown. With the addition of Robert Mason (Warrant, ex-Lynch Mob, Big Cock, Cry Of Love, e.t.c.), The End Machine is a project that many of the hard rock/metal fans will wonder themselves, "isn’t this just Dokken without Don Dokken"?

REVIEW : Phil Vincent ---- Hypocrite (Rock Company, February 27, 2019)

Multi-instrumentalist Phil Vincent is back in business with, already, his 21st solo album!!! The new opus is going to be released on February 27th and once again it combines a modern melodic hard rock sound with the classic heavy rock sound of bands such as Winger and Dokken to name a few.

REVIEW : Blood Red Saints --- Pulse (AOR Heaven RELEASE DATE : 22 February 2019)

Blood Red Saints is a band that back in 2015 released its debut opus, "Speedway", through Frontiers Music. It was an overall superb sample of old-fashioned melodic hard rock stuff and contained some excellent tunes in it. Three years later, Blood Red Saints returned to business with album number two. This time "Love Hate Conspiracies" released through AOR Heaven and showed a more modern and AOR-ish side of the band. It was a solid opus but not classic at least for the debut standards.

REVIEW : RED DRAGON CARTEL --- Patina (Frontiers Music s.r.l., November 2018)

Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands) is one of my all time favorite guitarists. Either with Ozzy or BADLANDS, this guy delivered some inspired and memorable guitar riffs and solos. Especially with Badlands his bluesier approach remains unforgettable. But that was then and this is now; now we have the second album from Lee's newest band, RED DRAGON CARTEL, with the title "Patina".

REVIEW : BULLETS AND OCTANE --- WAKING UP DEAD (Bad MoFo Records/Cargo Records UK, 2018)

Bullets And Octane is a band that has its roots in St. Louis, Missouri and now based in Southern California. It's not a newbie in the hard rock scene. Having already released 7 full-length albums (!!!!) and an EP since their creation, back in 2003, Bullets And Octane are back with their brand new opus with the title "Waking Up Dead".

REVIEW : VOLSTER --- Perfect Storm (ROAR Rock Of Angles Records, April 20, 2018)

VOLSTER is a new melodic hard rock band that consists of guitarist Ulf Andersson and bass player Henrik Lundberg (who were both members of the band Masquerade), Peter Tenning on vocals and Daniel Granlund (Syconaut) on drums. "Perfect Storm" includes 12 tracks and is produced by VOLSTER, co-produced and mixed by Max Norman (Ozzy Osbourne, Lynch Mob, Armored Saint, Lizzy Borden, Megadeth, Y&T) and mastered by Thomas “Plec” Johansson (Soilwork, Onslaught, Armageddon, Degradead, Dynazty) at The Panic Room Mastering.

REVIEW : BULLETBOYS --- From Out of the Skies (Frontiers Music s.r.l., March 2018)

For me, the three first albums by Bulletboys are all classic! Period! U.S. Hair Metal at its best with powerful and in-your-face vocals, catchy n' heavy songs and with lots of attitude. After that, the band continued to release albums but, to be honest, I've lost my interest.

REVIEW : WARRIOR SOUL --- Back On The Lash (2017)

Back in the early 90's Warrior Soul came out of nowhere and, for sure, made a big noise in the hard rock scene. A band that combined perfectly the punk with hard rock and along with a more metallic edge made an impact back then. Angry, pissed off and politically incorrect Warrior Soul released some great music and gained the respect of both fans and critics.

REVIEW : Doll Skin --- Manic Pixie Dream Girl (2017)

Now this is a really interesting release! But let's take things from the start. Doll Skin is a female modern heavy rock/punk that made a big impact in this scene with their debut "IN YOUR FACE (AGAIN)", which was produced by Grammy Winning Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.
