Extreme / Take Us Alive (2010)

It was back in late 80's-early 90's when Extreme was one of the 'hot shots' of that era with albums like their debut and the huge 'Pornograffitti' . They had everything back then. They had attitude, tight songwritting, the necessary MTV 'air play' hits and a guitar hero, who played some fantastic and inspired solos. After the big success of 'Pornograffitti', they have released a couple of albums in the 90's that weren't so successful as their previous ones. They made their comeback in 2008 with "Saudades de Rock" but this album wasn't the comeback that an average Extreme fan wanted from them. It was an ok album, at least for me, with some good enough moments.
So, nowadays, the band released their first live effort which is titled "Take Us Alive". This live cd, also released as a DVD, sounds amazing. Amazing performances, huge guitar work from Nuno and a very good production make this live album a must have for all Extreme fans. I really like their tunes from  "Saudades de Rock" and the band gave a brand new air to their old material. Grab it!!!!!
