REVIEW : WORK OF ART, Exhibits (Frontiers Music s.r.l., November 8, 2019)

For those who love high quality melodic rock/AOR music the name of Work Of Art is no stranger to them. With already three amazing records on their sleeves Work Of Art nowadays are going to release their brand new opus entitled "Exhibits" through Frontiers Music.

Work Of Art consists of  Lars Säfsund on lead vocals, Robert Säll on guitars and Herman Furin on drums. Except the well-known trio here "Exhibits" also features a strong guest list such as the legendary Vince DiCola (the author or the cult “Training Montage” on the Roxy IV soundtrack) , Nalle Påhlsson, Marcus Möller, Jonas Gröning and Figge Boström among others.

The opening tune of "Misguided Love" is everything that I love to listen to from this band; edgy AOR with powerful melodies, superb vocals, clever hook-lines and some really tasty guitars by Robert Sall. Excellent track. The up-tempo "Be The Believer", the huge 80's rocker "Another Night" and "Gotta Get Out" are all three brilliant samples of true AOR stuff in the vain of bands such as ASIA, Signal, Foreigner and Unruly Child just to name a few. The breathtaking vocals of Lars Safsund along with Sall's big talent is a killer combination to create strong and memorable melodic music.

I love the progressive AOR tune of "Come Home" which is probably one of the new opus' most interesting moments to be honest. Songs such as "If I Could Fly" and "What You Want From Me" are both 100% Work Of Art and both will be future classics for all the fans of the classic AOR sound.

Work Of Art did it again!! "Exhibits" is one of those records that aiming straight to the heart of each and every melodic rock/AOR fan out there. Beautiful melodies, killer songs and a pure AOR sound along with Lars Säfsund unique vocals makes "Exhibits" a must have for every AOR freak out there.

Rating : 9,2/10
