REVIEW : DREAM COMPANY, THE WILDEST SEASON (Tanzan Music , 2019)

Dream Company started as a BON JOVI tribute band back in 2006. Since its creation, the band played in hundred shows and achieved to build a strong reputation around its name. In 2012, Giulio Garghentini met Mario Percudani (Hungryheart, Mitch Malloy, Lionville, Hardline), who produced ‘Believe’ the first solo album by the singer in 2013. and after several changes in the band's line-up, Dream Company joined the world of Tanzan Music becoming a permanent band on the record label’s roster.

They started to compose songs for the band's first opus and with the line-up consists by Giulio Garghentini (Vocals), Enrico Modini (Guitars), Stefano Scola (Bass), Davide Colombi (Drums) the adventure begins!

The songs here are all well-written, well-composed and smell 80's melodic hard rock from miles away. Of course, there is a strong Bon Jovi-esque feeling all over the album but, believe me, there's no problem at all.

The first highlight comes with "Mine, Mine, Mine". A really killer melodic hard rock song that includes a nice groove, a killer melodic line and Giulio's amazing vocal performances in the like of Jon Bon Jovi. The melodic and very U.S. flavored "Scared To Be Loved" is again another interesting moment here while in "River Of Love" the band delivers one of the record's highlights. Amazing guitars, this sweet early Bon Jovi vibe and great arrangements in this really strong tune. The edgier "The Ghost", the mid-tempo rocker of "Land Of Freedom" (..sounds like it umped out from J.B.J. solo works..) and "Liars" are all simply great hard rock music and shows the abilities of Dream Company to write solid stuff.

The Italian hard rock band of Dream Company releases a solid debut album that includes some great rockers, a superb guitar work, strong arrangements and powerful vocals that aim to the heart of every classic hard rock fan out there. Of course the 'ghost' of the early Bon Jovi sound is all over the album and that's another strong point to purchase the album asap!!!

Rating : 8/10
