REVIEW : TOMMY VITALY / Forever Lost (EP, 2016)

Extraordinary guitarist Tommy Vitaly is releasing an EP, with the title "Forever Lost", as an appetizer of his up-coming full-length later this year. The new EP features acoustic versions, remixes and a live tune as well as a guest list of musicians such as Rhino (ex-Manowar) and Thomas Vikström (Stormwind, ex-Candlemass).

The opening track, "Forever Lost", is the absolute highlight here! An acoustic version of Vitaly's big hit that will amaze you with its passion and its breathtaking melody. In the instrumental "Vertigo Suite", Vitaly shows his amazing skills as guitarist and unleash his neo-classic thunder!! Brilliant stuff!! Next, we have the Maiden-esque "Ready To Die" (live) and another killer instrumental tune, "Impromptu". In "Jingle Hell Bells", (I guess that you all understand what is about LOL) Vitaly offers a cool Christmas version while in "Fly High, Touch The Sky" (2015 remix and remastered Version) we are dealing with yet another amazing track. This is a tune that every single fan of Malmsteen and Stratovarius will adore.

For sure, this is a brilliant and hearty EP that will please each and every single fan of Tommy Vitaly. A great appetizer of what's to expect next from this really extremely talented musician.
