SKYSCRAPER / Elevation (2014)

SKYSCRAPER is a new melodic hard rock band that consists of Lee Small - Vocals (Shy),Tor Talle - Guitars (JLT, Fergie Frederiksen, Northern Light, Overland) and Dave Boyce - Bass (Airrace, The Quireboys) and its ready to impress us with its high-energetic sound full of great melodies, huge harmonies and choruses to die for!

The album took almost two years in the making and the final result will please every single fan of the rock scene in general. "Sail Away", the opener, is the first sample of Skyscraper's music; dynamic with a great melody, tight performances and a chorus that is gonna make you whistle it for days. "Fay Wray" is pure heaven! Melodic as it gets with Small's superb vocal lines and a hook and chorus to die for, this song is pure candy in my ears! In "Everybody Cries Someday" we have an 80's rock ballad with such a beautiful harmony while in "Walk Through Fire" we have another winner here; up-tempo, edgy melodic rock with attitude and probably one of the best tracks out of the debut! "Runaway Hearts" travels us with its sensational melody and the Bad English-esque "Playing With Fire" brings back memories from another era!

Bottom line is that SKYSCRAPER's debut effort grabbed my attention immediately! It's like love at first sight here; amazing music from a bunch of talented musicians that goes straight to the heart and fills it with strong emotions. Highly recommended stuff!
