Tigers Of Junction Street / Tigers Of Junction Street (EP, 2014)

Forming in 2010, on the outskirts of London Town, Tigers Of Junction Street were brought to life by Ash, Tom, James, Josh and James. A long term friendship, shared goals, enthusiasm and passion brought the group together with the desire to hit the road, have a great time and to challenge themselves musically.

Tigers Of Junction Street draw influence from acts such as Periphery, Coheed And Cambria, Protest The Hero and TesseracT, as well as a nod towards legends, Yes and King Crimson. Tigers Of Junction Street will be looking to pin their tail between these greats.

So, as you all can assume by the above mentioned bands, T.O.J.S. plays a modern heavy rock/metal with strong melodies but, also, some pop rock pinches as well. For example, the opening tune of "Incarnation" is a really great up-tempo in-your-face modern rock stuff that features a cool riff and very good harmonic parts. "The Deception" is movin' to some heavier/dark paths while in "Cold Winter" we have a more complex track. Some really interesting jazz 'expressions' here that make this one a true highlight! The chorus is also killer! "Closed Doors", that closes this EP, is another very good moment.

Interesting, really interesting! Yes, Tigers Of Junction Street achieve to build an extremely interesting mini-album that personally find it exciting! Very good music that mixes a variety of labels (rock, jazz, modern rock, metal, punk, progressive) and at the end leaves you with a sweet taste in your mouth. Check it out!
