HOLY KNIGHTS / BETWEEN DAYLIGHT AND PAIN (2012)

The band debuted in 2001 with the critically acclaimed album 'Gate Through The Past', which attracted enthusiastic reactions throughout the world, despite the fact that a series of internal problems put the band in hiatus for the following ten years, with its members now focusing on various projects such as Thy Majestie, Trinakrius and Crimsonwind to name a few.

In 2010, the long break was finally interrupted with the band entering the studio to commence working on their sophomore album. So, nowadays, the band have signed a deal withScarlet Records for the release of their second, long-waited album'Between Daylight And Pain'

Firstly, I have to say that this album is a must have for the ones that are into the 00's Euro Power Metal with melodies, shredding guitars and a strong dose of Symphonic orchestrations as well. There is, also, a 'touch' of neo-classical edge that's givin' an extra flavour to the album's final result. One of the most impressive thing here, except the guitars, is the vocalist; yes, this guy can really sing and fits perfectly to these powerfull power metal stuff!! The band seems tight and songs like the soaring opener tune of "Mistery", the Sonata Arctica-esque "Wasted Time" and the really magestic "The Turning To The Madness" are all great examples of a solid band.

All in all, this is an album that will put a big smile to every fan of pure Symphonic Power Metal with nice melodies, very good arrangements, a powerfull vocalist and some really stunning guitar work. Well done.
