CYANIDE 4 / EVERY DAY IS A MASQUERADE (2012)

CYANIDE 4 is a glam/sleaze band hailing from Greece. "Every Day Is A Masquerade" is their debut album and, believe me, it rocks big time! Cyanide 4 has opened for Crashdiet two years ago and they made a huge impact with their attitude, songs and their tight musicianship!! They are heavenly influenced from the 80's U.S. glam scene but, also, from the new generation of sleaze heavy metal gerne.



It's really a great pleasure to see that our country, Greece, is a fast grown scene nowadays with bands such as Wild Rose, Outloud, Devil's Train and now Cyanide 4 and all of the above mentioned acts are releasing albums that have nothing to envy of from the European or even U.S. bands. When I firstly put the cd in my cd player, I was blown away immediately!! The songs are all well-crafted with big in-your-face choruses, loud guitars and a totally kick-ass sound! "Bad Love Parade" is a bad-ass tune with great arrangements, catchy chorus and a track that must be played on 10!!! "Hide In The Shadow" is another brilliant example of  what this band is capable of delivering when it comes to a heavy sleaze anthemic tune. It has attitude, great riffs and a solo to die for!! "Midnight Heat" is overall a huge ballad while "Wasting My Time" is my favourite personal from the debut album.

All in all, this is an extremely interesting and enjoyable album from start to finish. There's no filler in sight and every single track is a winner. For the fans of the Sunset Strip scene, this is a big must have. For the fans of the new wave of Swedish sleaze metal, this is, also, a must to add in your collection. An album that has it all and Cyanide 4 have for sure a bright future...Well done boyz!!
