PINK CREAM 69 / THUNDERDOME (2004)

Three years after the "Endangered" album, Pink Cream 69 are back with this superb album!  "Thunderdome" is the title of the band's new release and rocks like thunder! This time is less heavier and more Euro melodic hard rock flavoured with some killer tracks in it! For me it's the perfect mix of "Sonic Dynamite" and "Electrified" with a fresh, more updated, sound!

The musicianship is once again tight and the band's performances amazing! The guitar sound is 'crispy' and heavy with some inspired solos and riffs. David Readman's vocal lines are over the top and the rhythm section is solid. Kick ass hard rock stuff with attitude and well played. "Thunderdome" is one of these albums that you can play non stop! "Gods Come Together" is perhaps one of the catchiest tunes that this band has ever recorded. The rhythm, the power and the chorus line is a perfect sample of what this band is capable of doing. "Carnaby Road" is a more rockier track with an excellent hook and chorus, once again. "That Was Yesterday" is another brilliant moment from this album. The cover track "My Sharona" is simply stunning!

Bottom line is that "Thunderdome" is an excellent hard rock album full of big hooks and choruses, fantastic guitar work and a solid production! The perfect example of how a heavy rock band should sound! A must have album!
