MR. BIG / BUMP AHEAD (1993)

I like this album a lot!! "Bump Ahead", originaly released in 1993, was the follow up album of Mr. Big's successful "Lean Into It". A bit 'softer' in some parts but it has all the magic and the quality of a great band as Mr. Big is!

The album starts with the hard hittin' tune of "Collorado Bulldog". A guitar driven song which shows some excellent guitar work from Paul Gilbert. "Price You Gotta Pay" is a hard rockin' tune, in the vain of Mr. Big's earlier works, with a catchy chorus line. "Promise Her The Moon" is one of the best tracks that this band has ever recorded! It's a melodic mid-tempo tune with a brilliant chorus, a monsterous track! The cover tune of "Wild World" was the band's biggest success and "The Whole World's Gonna Know" is an ass-kickin' hard rock anthem! Brilliant, just brilliant! Other highlights here are the huge ballad "Nothing But Love" and "Ain't Seen Love Like That".

Bottom line is that "Bump Ahead" is a great hard rock album with some excellent tunes in it, a tight musicianship and great performances! A must have!
