"Days Of Defiance" is the brand new album from the Greek melodic metal band Firewind. For those who said that Gus G., since he joined Ozzy, will abandon his main band, they were proved wrong! Not only Firewind released a new effort but it's a damn good one!
"Days Of Defiance" is a really impressive melodic metal album with a modern touch! Firstly, the guitar sound is brilliant! Gus G. whether shredding, soloing or just playin' some more acoustic stuff, the result is amazing! The sound of the songs is pure Firewind filled with some more melodic power metal elements. The band is tighter than ever and with the addition of Michael Ehre on drums, the sound is bigger and updated a bit.
I really can't find a weak moment here. Every single track in this effort grabs you and leaves you hungry for more! From the first track of "Days Of Defiance" till the superb last bonus cover track, of the special edition, "Breaking The Law", you will about to hear an excellent melodic metal album full of great tracks, performances, huge guitar work and a solid production! Well done!
