Poison / Flesh & Blood

Third album for U.S.glam rockers Poison and this time the band gets rid off the lipsticks and the fanzy clothes and they present a more mature image .In this record the band took a slightly more bluesy approach and in some songs a heavier sound can be heard. The typical Poison songs are here, songs like "Unskinny Bop " ,"Don't Give Up An Inch " and "Ball And Chain" could fit perfectly in their previous works. Some more straight forward hard rockin' tunes like " Valley Of Lost Souls " ,"Ride The Wind ", "Life Loves A Tragedy " and "Poor Boy Blues " are showing than Poison are more mature than ever and they can write for something else except sex & parties! Also the ballad of the album  "Something To Believe In " is a very emotional song without being another one typical rock ballad about heartbreaks and leaving without reason!
Overall this is a record which is perfectly balanced both of hard drivin' songs with a couple of ballads filled up with a blues feeling! A strong release from Poison!
