The last BMR album for the successfull duo of Doug Aldrich and Kal Swan. A strong album and a darker heavier sound in this one. One thing is sure..this is not grunge!!!The album feels more like an attempt to get the best of both worlds by grabing some new fans (more heavier/modern sound) and to keep the old fans. Doug Aldrich's playing is amazing,Swan's voice is strong and powerfull and the production is tight. Some great hard rock tunes like the fantastic opener "Belligerent Stance ", "Rivers Run Red " and the mid-tempo "Summer Rain ".Overall a solid release from BMR and even if it is not a masterpiece as their first two releases or Lion's albums it is a very good hard rock album! For open minded hard rock fans....8/10
