Frontline is a melodic rock act hailing from Germany. Having released 6 great melodic rock albums,‘The Seventh Sign’ finds them rocking harder than in their previous efforts.
For me Frontline were always a heavier edition of Journey, that's for sure, and the vocals reminds me of a more edged Steve Perry. The production is solid, the songs are all full with great hooks and memorable choruses and the guitar work is excellent!! "You Can’t Tame Me" which opens the album is probably the heavier tune that this band has ever recorded while "This Lie" brings back some more melodic hard rock style with a great chorus line and a powerful flow throughout. "Where’s the Love" is just brilliant and "Melt My Ice" is a personal favourite. The cover of Journey’s classic tune of "Separate Ways" is breathtaking!
Overall this is a strong release. With Frontline you know what to expect : huge melodies, great guitar work and great performances! Well done.
