The front-cover of this new album shows-off the five members of the band in Wild West and that's a thing that remind us a lot of the classic Jon Bon Jovi record 'Blaze Of Glory'. Of course, the whole sound of the band all these years refers to the classic and early sound of Bon Jovi, Skid Row and Motley Crue to name just a few. I think that Crazy Lixx is a band that never cared to show its love for that golden era.
The three new tracks are all just candy to my ears and I'm positive that both old and new fans will appreciate!! "Two Shots At Glory" is just ass-kickin', fist on the air hair metal anthem made in an old-fashioned way! Just excellent! "Invincible" is really cool and the classic and metallic "Sword And Stone" is awesome!!!
"Lights Out" was a bonus tune from the band's huge "New Religion" opus and in my opinion this is one of my personl favorites from Crazy Lixx's entire catalogue! Next, the band play it fairly safe in terms of the re-imagined tunes adding some fresh and updated elements to their already classic hits such as "In The Night", "Ain't No Rest In Rock 'n' Roll", "Fire It Up" and "Church Of Rock", without loosing the original identity!! I'm really happy that in this album the band included the fantastic "OnlyThe Dead Know" which is a killer track.
The final result is just a brilliant record not only for the die-hards of the band but a must have for every old and new fan of the classic Hair Metal scene in general. Crazy Lixx is on of the leaders in the New Wave Of Scandi Hair Metal scene and with every single release they proove it!
