With already three albums on their back Temple Balls achieved to build a strong reputation around their name. Their powerful, up-beat, in-your-face and hook-laden music sounds like the perfect combination between the classic hair metal scene of the late 80's and the new wave of Scandi heavy rock scene. The references to bands such as Crazy Lixx, Reckless Love, H.E.A.T. and early Dynazty are obvious. The choruses are big and loud, the guitars are crunchy and heavy enough and the melodies are perfect for your ear pleasure!
The opener tune of "All Night Long" is THE PERFECT starter just to leave you hungry for more! Edgy, heavy, melodic as it gets and with this catchy chorus line enough to make you sing-a-long for days! Ear candy! With "Trap" the band delivers a fast-paced and ass-kickin' rocker with a bad-ass groove in it and a track that will attract every Crazy Lixx fan out there! Turn on the volume and enjoy it!!! In "Stand Up And Fight" we have a fist in the air and with a more 'metalic' twist in it track that is among my personal favourites out of the new effort! The excellent and up-beat "Strike Like A Cobra" was the first single that was released back in March and made me very anxious about the band's forth-coming opus!! "No Reason" is the 'typical' Scandi melodic heavy rocker and that means a big chorus, a bad-ass attitude and some groovy and tasty guitars!! The 'speedy' and guitar-driven "Northern Lion" will bang your head with its powerful and heavy rhythm while in "Stone Cold Bones" the band shows off the U.S. hair metal influences!!!
Great, up-lifting, in-your-face, guitar-driven and powerful melodic hard rock stuff that will make your day!!! Yes, TEMPLE BALLS' new effort is that good!!! It's one of these records that you wanna listen on repeat over and over and over again!! My advice is to grab it on its release day and crank it up!!!!
