REVIEW : Metalite, A Virtual World (Release Date : March 26, 2021 / AFM Records)

To be honest the name of METALITE was strange to me until I received the promo of the band's newest opus entitled "A Virtual World" that blew me away! Yes, this modern melodic metal band has the hole 'package' to become a leader to its kind. The vocals, the 'bigger than life' sound, the heaviness and the powerful vocals of Erica Ohlsson combines perfectly and creates a fantasic opus all the way!

Imagine a mix of sound of bands such as Amaranthe, Dynazty and Delain and you have the picture of how METALITE sounds! As I already mentioned above, the vocals of Erica Ohlsson are powerful and melodic including all the necessary attitude to take the whole project to a higher level.

The guitar duo of Edwin Premberg and Robert Örnesved deliver a truly killer sound with their sharp, heavy and 'fat' sound while the rythm section bonds perfectly. The melodies are top notch and the hooks an' choruses are enough to make you sing-a-long.  The production of Metalite's newest effort is handled by the 'mighty' Jakob Hansen.

Highlights out of "A Virtual World" are "Beyond The Horizon", "Cloud Connected", "Peacekeeprs", "We're Like The Fire", "Alone", "A Virtual World" and "Running".

For the fans of modern melodic metal scene METALITE's, the brand new "A Virtual World" is a must add to their collection. I would, also, recommend this record for every fan that loves his music loud, 'speedy', powerful and melodic!!!
