REVIEW : Angels Or Kings / Go Ask The Moon (2016)

The extremely melodic and interesting band of Angels Or Kings is back with its brand new record with the title "Go Ask The Moon". After the solid "Kings Of Nowhere" that gained positive feedback form both fans and press, it's time for this new one that is overall a sensational purchase for each and every fan of the melodic rock scene in general.

The first thing that I have to say about the new album is that "Go Ask The Moon" 'smells' earlier Harem Scarem from miles away!!! Yes, the music, the voice of the singer, the songs...everything here has a Harem Scarem vibe and that's a very positive thing if you ask me.

"No More Faith To Lose", the opener, kicks-off things here impressively!! A raw melodic hard rocker that sounds like it jumped out of Harem Scarem's debut record grabs you at once and leaves you hungry for more!! "Ancient Fires", "No Alibi" and the huge "The Nights Don't Count" are all three superb slices of pure melodic hard rock/AOR bliss showing the talent of this band to deliver some strong tunes.

"Breathe" is a superb and so emotional ballad while the AOR-ish "On The Corner Of Love And Lost" will put a wide smile upon the face of every serious AOR fan out there!

Angels Or Kings with this new record makes the step forward and at the end delivers a fine album that will be warm welcomed by any fan of the melodic hard rock/AOR scene.
