Los Angeles, CA -
There's something enticing about the rock singer/songwriter Bob Pressner and
over 50 million people on his YouTube channel have figured it out. The gifted
artist has a charming way with his words and he's proving it again on his latest
single "Next Summer Never Came," available now on iTunes. The smooth
crooner also released an accompanying music video, which is already heating up
the YouTube charts and was at #4 upon its release. With almost a million views,
the music video is heart-felt as the sweet "miss you" song.
During his early years in White Plains, NY, Pressner had his heart set on playing the guitar and focused on honing his talents since he was 15 years old, even studying with the great 1950's beat poet, Allen Ginsberg. The passion behind his art and perfectionism comes from the influence of iconic music artists, such as Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell and Paul McCartney. Music always seemed to be Pressner's calling, and after experiencing a traumatic event and a move to Florida, the artist decided to seriously pursue a music career. He had soon cranked out his debut album Hard Driving Rain, followed by Riding the Wave, Summer in Illusion Land, Me and the Kid from Santa Cruz, and Honor Among Thieves.
With a lively
pop-infused rock beat led by guitar licks and propulsive percussions, "Next
Summer Never Came" is a soother for the heartbroken or anyone who's ever missed
someone. With six albums under his belt, Pressner possesses an effortless knack
for bringing songs to life by painting vivid pictures with his words. He knows
how to tell the stories of so many different walks of life, that music lovers
from all over the world find it easy to gravitate to his music. The new video
dons a roster of credible musicians; Brad Fernquist (Hilary Duff, Michelle Branch, Lisa Marie Presley)
of the Goo Goo Dolls on guitar, Jim McGorman (Avril Lavinge, Shakira, The Corrs) on drums, and Robb Vallier (R. Kelly) on bass. Pressner's rich and dynamic tone
gives a solid performance on the track that fits the mood perfectly.
Directed
by Kurt Zendzian, the music video centers on Pressner and his band's intimate basement
jam. As the musicians sing along and zone out to the music, Pressner is shown
strumming his guitar as he laments about his lost love. Almost everyone knows
what it feels like to lose someone that is near and dear, but Pressner tugs on
heartstrings with his emotional connection and commitment to the lyrics.
Already a viral
sensation on YouTube, Pressner has enchanted audiences live at the SXSW Music
Festival and on TV with the #1 Comcast-produced OnDemand concert entitled,
"Bob Pressner at Infinity Music Hall." The concert was promoted on cable
channels like A&E, AMC, ESPN, CNN, Bravo, MTV, VH1, and TBS. His impressive
achievements so far are just a small look into what's in store for this shining
star. Learn more about Bob Pressner at www.BobPressner.com.
