GOTTHARD / HOMEGROWN-ALIVE IN LUGANO (2011)

Last year, when it was announced that Steve Lee was killed in an accident, not only the fans of the band were shocked but, also, the rock world took part in the loss of one of the greatest frontmans around the world. A lot of people, inlcuding me, said that this band couldn't excist without Steve Lee.

A few months ago, Leo Leoni, the founding member of Gotthard, was stating : "WE WANT TO CONTINUE! Gotthard is not a job for us, Gotthard is our life!" and Hena Habegger continued : "...of course it can only go on if we are lucky to find the right guy. We’re not only searching for a voice which can bring our songs alive again….we are looking much more for a singer who also humanly fits with us – with the GOTTHARD Family!”

But before the new chapter in Gotthard's camp, the rest of the band members felt that they had to honor Steve Lee by publishing the last massive concert that Lee performed; "Home Grown - Alive In Lugano". Freddy Scherer remembers. "The chemistry between him and the audience couldn’t have been more intense, despite the fact that there were more than 20.000 people standing on the piazza."

This live album includes almost all their hit-singles such as " Heaven", "Anytime Anywhere", "Unspoken Words", "Hush", "Top Of The World" and many more. The album,also, contains an unreleashed track which is titled "The Train". All in all, this is a fantastic live album from a great band and this is a must have for every rock fan out there to add to his collection. "Homegrown-Alive In Lugano" reminds us of how great Steve Lee was and that he will be missed!
