ACCEPT / Blood Of The Nations (2010)

After almost 14 years, ACCEPT is back in a really big way! Never been a big ACCEPT fan, but after reading some reviews around the net, I decided to buy this album. My first reaction was...damn, this is a fine heavy metal piece! Big 'fat' sound and some really loud n' screaming guitars!

'Blood Of The Nations' is a solid heavy album. No modern elements here, just pure heavy sound! The new singer, Mark Tornillo( TT Quick), is doin' an impressive work on the lead vocals. I have the feeling that sometimes he is sounding like Udo! As I said earlier, the guitar sound is heavy with some 'big' solos and riffs. The pounding drums and bass lines fits perfectly with the whole 'fat' sound of 'Blood Of The Nations'.
The production is very good and the songs are all catchy without being boring!

From the opener track "Beat the Bastards", you are entering to ACCEPT's heavy world! "Beat the Bastards" is simply an awesome track! It's a furious heavy tune in a good old 'Fast As A Shark' style. "Teutonic Terror" is a huge metal tune! ."Shades of Death" is a 7.32 minutes long track with a nice groove, very good arrangements and the addition of some keyboards in this one is making "Shades of Death" a very interesting tune. Other highlights here are  the "New World Comin", "Rollin Thunder" with its very good riffing and "Time Machine".

All in all this is a strong release! Some really impressive tracks here, the necessary 'screams' and the big solos are making 'Blood Of The Nations' an essential purchase for every heavy metal fan!
