It was September of 1991 when Nelson's popularity highed up with the huge success of the single "Can't Live Without Your Love And Affection", from their debut album 'After The Rain'. Personally I think that this album is one of the best albums of that era! Besides "Can't Live Without Your Love And Affection", from that album, Nelson has had one number one hit single, four top tens, five top 40 Billboard hot 100 hit singles, number one MTV hits videos and they sold over 6,5 million albums worldwide! Really impressive!
Nelson has always been synonymous with entertainment in America. Matthew and Gunnar follow Ozzie Nelson's vision of embracing connecting with people and audiences through all forms of media. They have been doing television-hosting work for VH1 and E! Gunnar is also a standout reality TV star with VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club".
After their very successful 'After The Rain', Nelson released the pretty good 'Because They Can', the strong 'Imaginator', the good 'The Silence Is Broken', the average 'Brother Harmony' and the overall good 'Life'.
So, here we are in 2010 with the brand new one 'Lightning Strikes Twice'. From the very first notes of this new effort you know what to expect. Melodies, powerfull vocal lines, catchy choruses and a some really inspired harmonies! I have to admit that this one is probably one of the best comebacks over the last years. Nelson brothers achieved to combine the sound of their big 'hey' days with a 'fresh' air! No modern elements here just pure melodic hard rock bliss! I have to say that this album is a big must have for every melodic rock fan out there and of course a must have for every Nelson fan! One of the best releases for 2010. For sure this one is going to end up high in my this year's Top 10 list!
