Soul Doctor / Soul Doctor (2001)

Very good debut album from Fair Warning's shouter Tommy Heart. This 11 track album contains some really impressive hard rock music, in the vain of earlier Bon Jovi and Heart's main band Fair Warning. The album starts with the old-fashioned and anthemic tune of "Soul Doctor".  Nice rhythm, loud in your face guitars and a really catchy chorus. "Shake 'em on Down" is up-tempo and has a heavy intro with some cool guitar leads. For sure one of the album's highlights and a track which is tryin' to get us back to the glorious 80's dayz! You know, Rock N' Roll, women and all night parties....
"Goodbye ", is a nice rocker and a track which reminds of the Fair Warning's music. "Before the Night Is Over" is another one good track, simple and more laid-back but overall a good one. "Unspoken Words " is one of my favourite tracks here. It has a monsterous heavy riff and it's groovy!!! A huge track. "What Do U Want" & "Who Will Be There" are both good rockin' tunes with nice melodies but nothin' breathtakin'.
"You're All That I Want" is a very good mid-tempo song with a big 'Bon Jovi' feeling in it. "Down the Blvd." is fantastic! It's all about Rock N' Roll baby!! Anthemic and catchy as hell. "Emotion in Motion" & "Does It Feel Like Love" which closes the album are good tracks with nice guitar work and good hooks.
All in all this is an interesting album full of good and well played hard rock. For fans of more 'Americanized' Fair Warning  this is a big must have!
